Funny how shows and songs can grow on you over time. I always thought this was a rather lackluster finale for the acoustic Dead, but listening to it now again for the first time in a long time, I find there's so much to recommend. Totally agreed that this is one of Vince's best performances with the band and adds alot.

Lazy River Road is a really nice version, even though early on in the song Bob's guitar work is something akin to fingernails on a chalkboard, he mercifully gives up on the slide work and allows the song to blossom into a thing of beauty. It's a song that probably should have only been ever played on acoustic instruments, seems to have been made for them if you go by this performance.

KC Moan is very well done, a song I wish the Dead had incorporated into their first set Bob slots where variety was sorely lacking.

Dupree's is sadly something of a train wreck due to blown lyrics and confusion, a real shame.

Childhood's End wasn't ever played enough and is a treat.

Masterpiece is great, with Jerry's inspired noodling behind the lyrics showing he's really having fun now.

Attics is the true highlight of the set for me. What a beautiful version. Just great.
